The weekend of Sept. 19-20, Lakewood will hold its annual Lantern Lighting Celebration to commemorate loved ones who have passed away.
Take in the beauty of autumn on Oct. 19 for Lakewood’s Fall Colors Celebration. Lakewood Cemetery is recognized as a Level 2 arboretum, the only one within Minneapolis’ city limits, so there’s plenty of nature to explore.
On the first Sunday afternoon of each month, you can take in an intimate concert as part of the Music in the Chapel series. Each performance takes place in the ornate confines of the Memorial Chapel, which renowned architect Harry Wild Jones modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.
