Baton Rouge man tried to set Baker home on fire with people inside, fire department says
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man is facing charges after allegedly attempting to set fire to a home while people were still inside.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department said Wilfred Jackson Jr., 33, was arrested Saturday morning after pouring gasoline throughout a residence on Cypress Street in Baker and threatening to ignite it while it was occupied.

Baker police and fire investigators responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. BRFD said Jackson inhaled gasoline fumes during the incident and was treated by East Baton Rouge emergency medical services. No other injuries were reported.

Jackson was booked on a charge of attempted aggravated arson.
