Preliminary report: Child killed in accidental shooting, Baton Rouge police say
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Emergency medical services said the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office was called to the scene of a deadly shooting in the 4400 block of Sumrall Drive on Friday, Sept. 5.
According to preliminary reports, the Baton Rouge Police Department responded around 7:30 a.m. and found that a 3-year-old had been shot and killed. Preliminary reports also said this was an accidental shooting.
