Nearly $10K in deodorant, skin care products recovered in Safeway thefts: San Ramon PD

(KRON) — San Ramon police said a pair of thieves caught in the act on surveillance video are suspected in a series of thefts at Safeway grocery stores that total nearly $10,000.

The recovered goods included deodorant, razor blade and skin care products (as pictured below).

“Throughout the investigation, officers discovered the suspects were tied to five separate thefts in San Ramon alone, totaling nearly $9,500 in losses,” said San Ramon PD in a social media post. “They were also linked to 43 additional thefts across Bay Area Safeway stores, resulting in an additional $14,500 in losses.”

San Jose police said its Organized Retail Theft Suppression team made the arrests.

The suspected duo faces a dozen separate felony charges tied to these incidents.
