Hotter and more humid weather is in the forecast for Acadiana this Friday. Temperatures are starting off in the mid 70s followed by highs in the low to mid 90s. The heat index will reach over 100° in much of the area leading to a feel of July in the air. Rain chances should remain low but a spotty shower is possible this evening.
A cold front moves through Acadiana late on Saturday. Isolated showers and storms are possible tomorrow, followed by a few showers with clearing skies on Sunday. Humidity levels will drop significantly on Sunday, and will remain low and comfortable on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures won’t budge much but the overnight hours look a little cooler early next week.
