Evacuation orders lifted in Mariposa, Madera counties as 1-4 Fire growth stalls

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – All evacuation orders have been lifted for the 1-4 Fire as growth comes to a standstill.

The 1-4 fire ignited in Mariposa County Tuesday afternoon amid a series of wildfires.

Shortly thereafter, evacuation orders started rolling in.

However, in the past 24 hours, the 1-4 Fire has experienced no growth – aside from an increase in containment. As of 5:37 p.m. Thursday, the 1-4 Fire was 4,451 acres large and 80% contained.

The 1-3 Fire, less than two miles to the east, is also 80% contained and remains 151 acres large.

Cal Fire says crews are now working on mop-up and improving containment lines. All evacuation orders, warnings, and advisories have been lifted in both Mariposa and Madera counties.
