AUSTIN (KXAN) — Move over, pumpkin spice, a new fall flavor has emerged. Blue Bell Creameries’ latest flavor, Classic Pecan Pie, hit shelves Thursday, promising consumers a flavor that they say perfectly merges pie and ice cream.

This isn’t the first time Blue Bell has a new spin on pecan-flavored ice cream. In September 2018, the company released Spiced Pumpkin Pecan.

While the flavor was eventually discontinued, a lot of people in the online community have since created campaigns

and posts begging the Texas-based company to bring the flavor back.

Fans of the retired flavor will hopefully find consolation with Blue Bell’s newest addition.

In the company’s press statement, general sales manager John Neal Robinson said Classic Pecan Pie will become a new favorite.

“At Blue Bell, we know how to make great-tasting ice cream. And being a Texas-based company, we understand what it takes to be a prize-winning pecan pie,” Robinson said.
