The free event will be held Monday, Sept. 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The LIFT Center. Attendees can meet representatives from more than 50 colleges, universities, and community organizations, who will answer questions about admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and campus programs.
Participating institutions include Abilene Christian University, Angelo State University, Baylor University, Hardin-Simmons University, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Austin, and West Texas A&M University, among others. Community organizations attending include the Abilene Education Foundation, Community Foundation of Abilene, Hendrick Health Workforce Development, Upward Bound, and TRIO Talent Search.
Students are encouraged to register in advance at the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers website. Registered students will receive a QR code that college representatives can scan to share information about their campuses and application processes.
The Abilene Education Foundation places four full-time college advisors at each AISD high school to assist students with applications, financial aid, and college tours at no cost. In 2024–25, AEF helped seniors earn more than $14 million in scholarships.
