14-year-old Belmont Cragin girl missing since August, police say

CHICAGO (WGN) — Chicago police are searching for a Belmont Cragin teenager who the department says has not been seen since the end of August.

Shaneyshka Alvarez, 14, has been missing since Thursday, Aug. 28.

The missing 14-year-old girl stands 5-foot-8-inches, weighs 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She also has scar marks on her lower left leg, police added.

The missing teen may be in Bartlett or Streamwood, according to police.
