CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC4) — Is there anything better than a pool party to end the summer? If you’re a dog owner, there is! A pooch-exclusive pool party right here in Utah.

This Saturday, Sept. 6, Clearfield City is inviting dogs to its annual Dog Splash at the Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center before it closes for the season. The event will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Dog owners can register online for $5 or at the door for $10 and look forward to receiving a free treat bag after registration. Zoomin Groomin will be at the pool to trim dogs’ nails before they go for a swim. The nail trims are completely free, but the groomers will be accepting tips.

The pool will have one hour dedicated to small dogs that are under 29 pounds between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. After that, the pool opens up to dogs of all shapes and sizes until 11:30 a.m.

To attend the event, owners should bring printed proof of their dogs’ current rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus) vaccinations. Clearfield City states that tags do not count, and it must be a printed copy.

Clearfield City says that spots are filling up fast, so make sure to register online before the event is full. Owners can register their dogs online here.
