Video: Owl rescued after being snagged in Calcasieu Parish soccer goal
SULPHUR, La. (KLFY) — Many people strive to reach their goals, but a Calcasieu Parish bird is happy to get away from one.
Two people rescued an owl that was tangled in the netting of a soccer goal at a school in Sulphur, as captured on a Facebook video released by the school.
W.W. Lewis Middle School posted the video of the rescue Wednesday with the caption, “Mr. Caldwell and Officer Pete doing more important work today! #heroes.”
With the help of a tote bag and a pair of scissors the two freed the bird, which appears to be a great horned owl.
