Police continue search for vehicle in fatal hit-and-run in Jefferson Davis Parish
JEFFERSON DAVIS PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Louisiana State Police continues their investigation into the hit-and-run that resulted in the death of Bonnie Fontenot, 53, of Jennings.

Officials said an investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle may be a pickup truck or SUV, likely green or turquoise in color, with possible damage to the front end and/or driver’s side. Investigative leads suggest that the vehicle may frequent Iowa or U.S. 165 in the Jefferson Davis Parish area.

Fontenot was previously found dead in Jefferson Davis Parish in August after being reported missing. Officials said forensic analysis has confirmed that Fontenot was struck by a vehicle sometime between Aug. 22 and Aug. 27.

The crash remains under investigation.
