ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – Alexandria Police arrested a 24-year-old man Tuesday after seizing multiple firearms, marijuana and cash during an investigation on Starling Circle, authorities said.
Martavius Lee is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, possession with intent to distribute more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana and three counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs.
During the arrest, officers confiscated three firearms and about $17,212 in cash, according to Alexandria Police Chief Chad Gremillion.
“Every time we take guns and drugs off the streets, we’re making Alexandria a safer place for our families,” Gremillion said. “This arrest is a clear example of the dedication our officers show each day in confronting dangerous situations head-on. We will continue to stand firm against those who choose to bring violence and illegal drugs into our community.”
