COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A winning lottery ticket was sold to a Georgia lottery player at a Circle K gas station in Columbus.

Lottery officials with Mega Millions announced on Wednesday that two Georgia lottery players won big prizes, with one of those winners being in the Columbus area.

The player won $30,000 with the ticket purchased at the Circle K, located at 5448 Forrest Road in Columbus.

The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball, and a built-in 3X Megaplier tripled the prize from $10,000 to $30,000, according to Mega Millions officials.

The other winning was sold to a lottery player at a Raceway located at 237 Georgia Highway 49 N. in Byron, where they won $20,000 after matching the same numbers with a 2X Megaplier.
