
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A 64-year-old man was arrested after Anne Arundel County police conducted a drug investigation, police said.
On Aug. 29, around 7:30 a.m., law enforcement and K-9s conducted a search warrant as part of a drug investigation, where the suspect was in the basement of the residence.
Investigators confiscated the following items, according to police:
- Remington Sportsman 12, 12-gauge shotgun
- Small amount of CDS “crack” cocaine, and paraphernalia
- .22 caliber Savage bolt-action rifle
- .380 caliber Smith and Wesson semi-auto pistol (reported stolen)
- Black powder pistol
- .380 and .22 ammunition
The suspect was prohibited from owning any firearms or ammunition. As a result, 64-year-old Daniel Riggs, of Lothian, was arrested.
