Football coach, substitute teacher arrested on sex charges involving minor in Scioto County
SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WOWK) – A substitute teacher and junior high coach is facing charges in Scioto County for alleged sexual acts involving a minor.

According to the Portsmouth Police Department, Damion Quaza Coleman, Jr., of Portsmouth, is charged with pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and sexual battery involving a minor.

The Portsmouth Police Department says that Coleman was the current Portsmouth Junior High Football coach and has worked in area schools as a substitute teacher. There is no word yet on if he is still in these roles.

Police say the investigation began when authorities learned Coleman was allegedly in an inappropriate relationship with an underage female. Following a search warrant at his home, Coleman was arrested and taken to the Scioto County Jail.
