Finishing touches ongoing at region’s first Wawa
COAL TOWNSHIP – The finishing touches are being put on the region’s first Wawa location.
Signs outside the new convenience store in Coal Township, midway between Shamokin and Kulpmont near the Walmart, say associates are in training.
When it opens, it’ll be the Delaware County chain’s closest location to the Shenandoah area. Previously, the nearest Wawa was in Hamburg.
Wawa is making a major push into central Pennsylvania, building stores in Coal Township, Lewisburg, and more.
