Wawa, CareerLink plan hiring event for Central Pennsylvania locations

SUNBURY, Pa. (WHTM) — Wawa is moving closer to opening stores in the Central Susquehanna Valley, and they’ve teamed up with Pennsylvania CareerLink for a hiring event.

The hiring event is set for April 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sunbury CareerLink location, 225 Market Street.

The Delaware County-based convenience store chain is planning to open stores in Lewisburg, Sunbury, and Coal Township near Shamokin.

Walk-ins are welcome but registration is encouraged.

Known for their hoagies, Wawa has been expanding rapidly into central Pennsylvania, with stores open or planned in York County, Hanover, Chambersburg, and Williamsport.
