District Bar and Grill hit by drive-by shooting, according to staff

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — District Bar and Grill staff said the building was hit by gunfire on Tuesday night.

The owner reported that there was damage to the front windows, and several bar staff and patrons were inside at the time of the drive-by shooting.

No one was injured during the incident, which occurred around 11 p.m., according to police call logs.

The bar’s owner is cooperating with law enforcement and Rockford officials during the investigation.

The business asks anyone with information about the drive-by to contact the Rockford Police Department.
