Everson Griffen, a former defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings, was issued a citation in August for reportedly driving 130 mph on Interstate 494.
The information from court documents alleges Griffen was pulled over on I-494 near Stone Road by Minnetonka police on Aug. 29 at 10:16 p.m.
Griffen was reportedly driving over twice the speed limit, travelling at 130 mph in a 60 mph zone.
He was cited for speeding and reckless driving.
It’s the latest run-in Griffen has had with law enforcement in the last few years. Just earlier this year, he was arrested after he reportedly violated the terms of his probation in July.
Griffen was given probation after pleading guilty to careless driving in November 2024.
