TEXARKANA, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – Loretta Ogden, a 16-year-old student at Liberty-Eylau High School, is leaving her mark through her artwork.

Loretta’s most recent work, “The Hearts in Arts,” explores love, heartbreak, and the emotions that accompany each.

“One image portrays a figure with a broken heart who is also a broken woman, yet still
attempts to repair herself,” a press release stated. “The second image reflects a softer side of love—someone who is in love and has given his heart to his lover. Loretta’s expressive work blends heartfelt storytelling with distinctive styles, including anime, chibi, and her own unique version of realism.”

“I like drawing with meaning,” Loretta says. “I use a lot of music and the people I see to inspire me. I do use references sometimes, but most of the time, it’s just my imagination that
goes beyond my years.”

Loretta has been pursuing her artistic dreams since the age of 11 or 12, with the support of her mother. Her talents extend far beyond the canvas, as she has won two University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions as a varsity choir member.

More of Loretta’s artwork can be found on social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
