INDOT: ‘Serious crash’ leads to I-65 closure near Columbus

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — All lanes are closed on a portion of I-65 north of Columbus after a reported “serious crash” with injuries.

According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, the crash is reportedly at the 71-mile marker of I-65 southbound, which is just south of I-65’s intersection with West Lowell Road.

INDOT states that Lifeline is en route to the area because of the crash. Officials with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office said that I-65 in both directions will be closed for Lifeline. The duration of the closure is unknown.
