Pulaski County officials issue burn ban due to ‘extremely dry conditions’
SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — Following a grass fire on Thursday and conditions for more widespread flames across Pulaski County and several other areas in the state, officials have implemented a burn ban on Sunday, effective immediately until further notice.

“Due to extremely dry conditions, no person shall light or maintain an open fire at any location in Pulaski County while this ban is in effect,” Pulaski County Emergency Management

announced Aug. 31 on Facebook.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Anyone found to be violating the burn ban will be subject to fines and other penalties, officials said.
