Police: 14-year-old boy shot on Chicago’s West Side

CHICAGO (WGN) — A 14-year-old boy was shot on the West Side of Chicago Sunday evening, police say.

According to Chicago police, the teen was in the 1500 block of South Christiana Avenue just after 5 p.m. when someone approached him, pulled out a firearm and fired shots.

The victim was shot in the arm and hand, police say. He was transported to an area hospital in good condition.

There are no suspects in custody. Detectives are still investigating.
