CHICAGO (WGN) — An 11-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening while at a park on Chicago’s West Side, according to police.
Officers with the Chicago Police Department responded to the 1400 block of South Tripp Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a child shot.
Police say the boy was struck in the lower back by an unknown offender. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
Area Four Detectives are investigating. No further information has been released at this time.
