The workshop aims to equip Caddo Parish residents with essential knowledge and tools to prepare for various emergencies.
The class will cover key topics including emergency preparedness, disaster kits, and awareness regarding tornadoes, storms, floods, and active shooter situations.
Lieutenant Tony LeBlanc will host a Natural and Man-Made Hazards Preparation Workshop on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave, Shreveport, LA.
Participation in the workshop is free, but space is limited to just 25 attendees.
Early registration is highly encouraged to secure a spot.
Interested individuals can contact Deputy Vernita Williams at vernita.williams@caddosheriff.org or by phone at 318-681-0869.
The department emphasizes the importance of preparation, noting that although disasters can strike unexpectedly, being ready can significantly reduce their impact on families and communities.
