
“Reasonable Doubt,” a legal drama executive produced by Kerry Washington, is in production for its third season on Hulu, with Season 2 dragging Shreveport into a dramatic storyline.
The series stars Emayatzy Corinealdi as Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart, a high-powered Los Angeles criminal defense attorney balancing challenging cases, a troubled marriage, and motherhood.
Season 1 captivated audiences with Michael Ealy playing Jax’s incarcerated love interest. In season 2, Morris Chestnut joins the cast as Cash, a lawyer on the brink of a high-profile case that could propel him to fame. Throughout the second season, Cash helps to unfold the mystery surrounding the murder of NFL star Jamarion “JT” Tucker, a character portrayed by Christopher Mychael Watson.
In the show, JT’s background is revealed in flashback to his time dating his wife; he reveals that his character actually comes from Shreveport.
Using his grit and talents to make it big, Jamarion “JT” Tucker landed as a certified star in the NFL.
Their love story is short-lived, as years into their marriage, he is murdered, with all roads leading to his wife.
His death becomes a highly publicly scrutinized case of secrets of domestic violence coming to life vs. money-hungry greed and betrayal.
As the court case drags on, it is revealed that he may have had big secrets back home in Shreveport all along, which gave important insight and perspective to his wife’s current murder case.
