Officials say the boil water order is in effect after water system officials received a call about muddy water in the water lines. The city did confirm the report and are working to resolve the issue. Water sampling is being done, but officials say all water users should expect to boil any drinking water for a least a couple of days.
Residents are asked to boil their water for one minute if being used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes or preparing food as boiling it will kill bacteria and other organisms in the water.
