Free child ID bands available at West Texas Fair & Rodeo

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office will be handing out child ID bands during the West Texas Fair & Rodeo to help keep families safe.

The rodeo is a longtime Big Country tradition, and while most visitors enjoy the arena events and carnival rides, deputies will be on hand to promote child safety. The ID bands are simple wristbands children can wear with parent contact information, making it easier for law enforcement to reunite lost children with their families.

Deputies will give away ID bands each night of the fair at 6:00 p.m. at the TCSO tent, located on the east side of the fairgrounds.
