VENICE, La. (WGNO) — Three brothers were arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on a fishing boat Thursday, Aug. 28 near Venice.
According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, the homicide occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the Red Pass waterway just west of Venice. After boarding the vessel, PPSO deputies discovered the victim with multiple stab wounds.
The PPSO arrested and charged three brothers with second-degree murder. They are 28-year-old Josiah Cottrell, 25-year-old Timothy Cottrell and 22-year-old David Cottrell, all from Broussard.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
