OREM, Utah (ABC4) — Multiple lanes are closed following a semi-truck rollover on I-15 northbound at 800 North in Orem.
According to Lieutenant Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol, a semi-truck was traveling westbound on 800 North in Orem onto northbound I-15. The driver failed to negotiate the turn and hit the landscaping on the on-ramp.
Reportedly, the semi-truck driver lost control of the truck, and the cab and trailer rolled over, spilling garbage onto the roadway. Fortunately, the driver was not injured.
The furthest left lane traveling from eastbound 800 north to northbound I-15 has been closed. Additionally, one lane westbound 800 north to northbound I-15 is closed. The furthest right lane, from westbound 800 north is open, allowing some traffic to enter the freeway. However, that lane may face temporary closures as crews clean up the spill.

Northbound travelers should consider taking alternative routes, if needing to enter the I-15 freeway. Orem has I-15 northbound on-ramps at 1600 north, Orem Center Street, and University Parkway.
It appears that the crash resulted in debris on the roadway, likely requiring significant cleanup. UDOT has not yet provided an estimate on when the 800 north on-ramp may be fully reopened.
