Shreveport police decentralize, officially relocates records department

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The SPD Records Department has officially moved to a new location at 1120 South Point Parkway, Building A.

The Shreveport Police Department is decentralizing its operations, moving several services from its current location at 1234 Texas Street to various sites throughout the city.

This transition aims to enhance accessibility for community members. Details regarding the specific locations and services affected will be provided to keep the public informed during the relocation process.

The new location officially opened durimg the summer on Monday, July 28, 2025

Residents seeking police records or ABO licensing are now to visit the new location on South Point Parkway.

This facility will also accommodate the ABO office, enhancing accessibility for all stakeholders.
