KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — A long stretch of dry weather has many Kentucky communities working to prevent fires.
Multiple Kentucky counties and cities have issued burn bans, meaning no open burning is allowed, including campfires, bonfires, charcoal grilling, or burning leaves and debris.
Current Kentucky burn bans:
- Bourbon
- Boyd
- Casey
- Clark
- Edmonson
- Fleming
- Fulton
- Green
- Lewis
- Mason
- Metcalfe
- Robertson
- Taylor
- Todd
- Warren
Officials encourage people to check with their local fire department or county judge-executive’s office for updates on burn bans, but the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet also tracks burn bans when they are informed about them.
This is a developing story. Stay with FOX 56 News for updates.
