Victim identified in Sunday evening Lafayette shooting of 6-year-old
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — The family of the young girl who was shot in Lafayette Sunday evening is asking for help in her recovery.
A GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of the family of Riley Francis, who was shot Sunday evening in the 500 block of Saucier Parkway.
According to the GoFundMe appeal, Riley is one of two daughters of Jexada Francis. According to Lafayette Police, Riley is in

stable condition in a Baton Rouge hospital.
“She will not be able to work and be hands-on with her baby as she would like,” the post reads. “She’s in Baton Rouge with her 6-year-old daughter who’s in critical care and may need support beyond 6 months.”
