SEPTA Regional Rail project delayed, Chestnut Hill East Line suspension extended

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — The Chestnut Hill East Line will remain suspended for longer than anticipated, SEPTA announced Wednesday.

The bridge rehabilitation project began on June 15. It was scheduled to be completed on September 2. Due to construction delays, the suspension will remain in place until Sunday, September 7, at 5 a.m.

The transit agency said it will continue to run extra service on the Chestnut Hill West Line.
