In June 2025, detectives started looking into Dequanta Moore and Jeremy Jones. BRPD said they were linked to gun crimes, drug trafficking, and possible connections to the street gang TSK, or Top Snatcher Klan.

Search warrants for two locations were executed on Aug. 26 with help from the Louisiana Probation and Parole. BRPD said that at the same time, agents arrested Jones in West Baton Rouge on an outstanding warrant.
Officers found:
- Glock 19X.
- A black and purple Glock 45 Gen 5 with an extended magazine.
- More than 1.6 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution.
- One pound of Exotic Moon Rocks in 16 different strains.
- $2,549 in cash.
Both men were taken into custody.
Moore was arrested by BRPD and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a schedule I controlled substance and possession of firearms with a controlled dangerous substance.
BRPD said Moore has a criminal history that includes the distribution of schedule I substances, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, aggravated assault, and possession of schedule I drugs.
Jones was arrested by Probation and Parole on a warrant for two counts of simple burglary and accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder.
Police said he also has prior convictions, including a 2018 burglary conviction that resulted in a 10-year prison sentence and a separate five-year sentence for being an accessory after the fact.
More charges are pending.
