Suspect ejected during high speed chase that ended in crash in Tuscola

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A driver was ejected during a high speed chase that ended in a crash in Tuscola Tuesday morning.

The Texas Department of Public Safety states troopers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on US 83 just south of Tuscola, but the driver, later identified as Jeremy Clarence Morgan, 29, refused to stop and began a high speed pursuit into town.

Morgan eventually lost control on a curve, left the road, went into the parking lot of Lowe’s grocery store and eventually overturned on the railroad tracks, according to DPS.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected upon impact and is now hospitalized with incapacitating injuries.

No further information, including Morgan’s pending criminal charges, is available at this time.
