Repairs to damaged guardrail on US-80 in Phenix City begins Monday

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — Repair work has begun on a damaged guardrail on US-80 in Russell County.

According to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), a contractor for the department began installing cable rail and making repairs on the damaged guardrail today. Crews will be working in the area of US-80 from US-280 to the Chattahoochee River Bridge for approximately two to three weeks.

ALDOT says drivers should expect delays and use caution around construction zones. Drivers can plan accordingly using the ALGO traffic app.
