Owensboro’s former Towne Square Mall to host indoor theme park

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials have announced that Malibu Jack’s, an indoor entertainment destination, will be transforming a portion of the former Towne Square Mall in Owensboro into an entertainment hub.

Officials said Malibu Jack’s will be one of the largest all-indoor theme parks in the region and the third largest of Malibu Jack’s locations.

Attractions and experiences offered by the partnership between Malibu Jack’s and TS Entertainment LLC will reportedly include a 40,000-square-foot go-kart track, a 6,000-square-foot laser tag arena, bowling, a spinning coaster, miniature golf, bumper cars, a 4D motion theater, arcade games, and a fun casual restaurant.

“We believe in the potential of Owensboro and are confident that Malibu Jack’s Owensboro will become a premier entertainment destination,” said Tony Yager of TS Entertainment. “Our goal is to create a high-energy interactive experience that appeals to families, young professionals and visitors from across the region.”

TSM Holdings LLC received approval for $2 million in tax incentives under the Kentucky Tourism Development Act.

Officials said construction and renovation will begin immediately.
