APD officers responded to the crash around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Anderson Lane, per a news release from the agency.
One driver was identified as Billie M. Crawford. She was taken to a local hospital. Days later, on Aug. 20, Crawford was pronounced dead, according to police.
“The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene, was not impaired, and fully cooperated with the investigation,” police said.
This is now being investigated as Austin’s 66th fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
