AC Transit bus operator injured in potential domestic violence incident

(KRON) — An incident that occurred onboard a bus near the Richmond BART Station Monday morning is being investigated as a potential domestic violence incident. According to the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit), the incident occurred outside the station at around 7:35 a.m.

The bus operator sustained superficial cuts during the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The facts leading up to the incident are being investigated by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office, transit officials said.

One person has been taken into custody.

Officials declined to confirm any other details at this time. AC Transit deferred to the Sheriff’s Office for questions regarding the person in custody.
