Driver killed in fiery crash on Highway 371 in Webster Parish

Webster Parish, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A single-vehicle crash has left one man dead in Webster Parish.

The incident happened on Sunday, August 24, on Highway 371 near Yellow Pine Road. According to the Louisiana State Police, 40-year-old Joey Washington of Sibley was driving a Ford F-150 northbound on U.S. Highway 371 when he veered off the road and hit a tree.

After the crash, Washington’s vehicle caught fire and was engulfed in flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and toxicology samples were collected for analysis.
