With forecasted highs in the 90s, county officials say the shelters will remain open for 24 hours, hot meals will be provided, no one will be turned away, and pets are welcome.

Additionally, Multnomah County has reopened two daytime cooling centers from noon to 9 p.m.:
Three Multnomah County libraries will again extend their hours to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

A KOIN 6 Weather Alert remains in place through the weekend, as does an Extreme Heat Warning for the Willamette Valley through Tuesday from the National Weather Service.
Further, due to the extreme heat, TriMet says they will not turn away who cannot pay far while traveling to a cooling center between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday.
However, all MAX trains may be experiencing delays up to 30 minutes and officials encourage commuters to check here for the latest on delays before traveling.
