In the tropics, we now have Tropical Storm Fernand in the Atlantic. It will head into open waters and not affect any land areas, though it could sneak up to a weak hurricane as it passes east of Bermuda. We are also monitoring a tropical wave approaching the Lesser Antilles. While development is not expected through the next few days due to dry air and wind shear, it could try to strengthen as it enters the western Caribbean. From there, models have a variety of ideas as to what it does and where it goes, so for now we will just monitor it.
Locally, we see dry conditions persist through Monday before a return of humidity ahead of another front that will head south by Wednesday. Before it arrives, showers and thunderstorms will be possible both Tuesday and Wednesday. Once it passes through, we will likely see much drier air and, potentially, slightly cooler temperatures to end the week.
