Following more clouds than sun to end the week, sunshine returns to end the weekend on Sunday. Mostly sunny skies with temperatures likely to remain below normal. Expect high temperatures in the upper 70s.
Cooler air arrives for the new work week. A cold front will continue to work through this evening and early tomorrow morning. A cooler and drier air mass from Canada will work down across the Ohio Valley and will even work into the Southern US. Expect high temperatures to be 10-15 degrees below average through much of next week. Even a few spots could see high temperatures only max out in the upper 60s.
Widespread locations will even see overnight lows dip into the low 50s, with localized spots dipping as cool as the upper 40s early next week. The risk is for temperatures to remain at or below normal to end the month of August and begin September.
