Kyckr makes double appointment
Lamb, who was previous Kyckr’s Head of Product and then Chief Operating Officer for five years, is now building out a leadership team for the firm’s next stage of growth. The firm also announced the appointment of Andrew Kellett as Head of Customer Delivery. Kellet will be responsible for leading global customer support and delivery.
They joined after a very successful H2 2025 despite the change in leadership. The firm enjoyed 60% revenue growth in H2 2025, boosted by rising regulatory scrutiny of business verification, particularly Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) identification requirements. There has also been a rising demand for integrated compliance solutions.
Kyckr integrates with over 300 company registries across 100 countries and partners with leading technology companies, including LexisNexis, FirstAML, Experian, and Dun & Bradstreet.
Jones now has the remit to lead the technology charge in a world that is changing with AI reshaping compliance across KYC and anti-money laundering.
Steve Lamb, CEO, said: “Bringing Ian on board signals the huge ambition we have for this business. Access to reliable company data has been a complex, expensive problem for obliged entities for too long. Kyckr is changing that. With record growth, profitability, and a strong team in place, we’re now competing at a different level.”
Jones joins from OpenPlay, where he served as Chief Technology Officer for nearly 3 years. Before OpenPlay, he was Director of Technology at xMoney.comm part of the MultiversX group.
He also spent 3.5 years at Equiniti in product and engineering leadership roles for EQ Pay and EQ Data. With a background in software engineering and nearly two decades of experience, he has helped build scalable platforms in regulated markets. Expertise that will be useful at Kyckr.
Ian Jones, CTO at Kyckr, said: “What attracted me to Kyckr was the clarity of the vision and the scale of the opportunity. Business verification is one of the most persistent unsolved problems in financial services, and Kyckr has the data, the platform, and the momentum to drive real change.”
Jones has a degree in Automotive Electronics Engineering from Swansea Institute of Higher Education.
Kellett is no stranger to Kyckr, having worked there from 2022 to 2024 as a solutions engineer. He now returns as Head of Customer Delivery after a stint as an integrations Consultant at Thirdfort.
Kellett also spent nearly six years working as a consultant and in customer services at Premium Credit Ltd. He re-joined Kickr in January 2026.
Kellet has a BA in Graphic Design from the University for the Creative Arts, Surrey.
The appointment of a new CTO should bring not only stability but also a resurgence of product development to Kickr as it looks to cement its market position. Where will Jones lead Kyckr in its next chapter, and how will he seek to integrate AI into its platform?
