BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — August 22, 2025
A Bloomington man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he displayed a handgun inside Night Moves, threatened a mass shooting, and resisted arrest in a violent struggle with officers last week.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Bloomington police were called to Night Moves, 3160 S. Walnut St., around 10 p.m. Aug. 13 after a dancer reported that a customer had shown her a handgun and made alarming statements about a mass shooting that night.
The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Anthony Martin Glomm of Bloomington, allegedly told a dancer that he had guns in his vehicle and at another location, and that two people would join him to carry out a shooting. The dancer told police Glomm displayed the gun inside the club and showed her photos of firearms.
When officers confronted Glomm outside, they said they saw a bulge at his waist consistent with a firearm. As officers tried to detain him, Glomm resisted for nearly a minute, at one point reaching for his waistband. A police officer was able to grab a handgun from his clothing during the struggle, and officers said Glomm also tried to take hold of the arresting officer’s Taser before being subdued.
Police said Glomm smelled of alcohol, and he later recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.115 on a portable breath test at the jail.
Glomm was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital after the incident, where he admitted to carrying a gun inside the business and acknowledged he was intoxicated. He denied threatening a mass shooting or showing photos of firearms but confirmed the dancer he spoke to matched the dancer’s description.
Detectives obtained a warrant to search Glomm’s vehicle, but no additional firearms were found. Police noted Glomm has a prior felony conviction within the past 15 years, making it illegal for him to possess a handgun.
Prosecutors charged Glomm with resisting law enforcement with a deadly weapon, intimidation, unlawful carrying of a handgun, disarming a law enforcement officer — all Level 5 felonies — and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor.
He was booked into the Monroe County Jail following the incident.
