Man committed ‘crude and indecent acts’ at Fishers bus stop, police say

FISHERS, Ind. — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say was seen “doing crude and indecent acts” near a Fishers bus stop.

The Fishers Police Department said Thursday it is actively investigating the alleged crime, which took place Wednesday near 141st Street and Cumberland Road. Investigators said a man was seen committing inappropriate acts inside a car parked near a local bus stop.

Police said the driver was reportedly an adult male wearing a medical mask. The man’s vehicle is believed to be a smaller, dark blue Chevy SUV. A photo of the car, provided by FPD, can be seen below:

Police are now asking for the public to come forward with any information regarding the incident, the man or his car. People are encouraged to call FPD Detective Root at (317) 595-3326 to submit a tip.

FOX59/CBS4 has seen a Facebook post from a concerned parent regarding what appears to be the same incident in Fishers. The post claims the man inside the car was masturbating while watching kids get onto the bus. The post includes several photos of the alleged suspect.

In a statement on Thursday, police said they are aware of the post. However, they claimed the photos shared in said post were “not real.”

“We understand there is an enhanced image being shared on social media, that is not real and did not come from our agency,” FPD officials wrote.

No other information was immediately provided by police. To make an anonymous tip regarding this incident, call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS.
