The closures, which affect the southbound lanes, will be along a bridge over two ramps. The bridge, itself, is located about a quarter of a mile beyond southbound Exit 8A to Pentagon South Parking, Route 27/Washington Boulevard and South Arlington Ridge Road.
VDOT said the closures would take place nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Sunday night and ending Friday morning. Here are the specific details:
VDOT said at least one southbound general purpose lane would remain open at all times and noted that the roadwork would take place, weather permitting. It explained that he project is to close joints and make minor repairs to several bridges along I-395.
