‘Slow Down!’ Prince William County police stop driver going 101 mph in a 55 mph zone

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — “Speeding Catches Up With You!” — the phrase kicked off a post as police in Prince William County announced that they had stopped a man driving almost double the speed limit.

The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said on social media that officers had stopped and cited a 22-year-old man from Woodbridge recently.

PWCPD said he was driving 101 mph in a 55 mph zone on Prince William Parkway near Coloriver Road.

“This speed is reckless and dangerous for the area,” PWCPD reminded.

The department finished the post with a short but sweet reminder — “SLOW DOWN!”
